Level Design
Shiling project
This is a project I worked on at an independent game studio. The game features three main levels, and I was responsible for all level design and puzzle mechanics in one of them.
At the start of the design process, I sketched out the entire level flow and placed my reference images alongside the envisioned level layout. I also referred to concept art created by our art team. Since this level is set in a forest, I collected numerous forest-related reference images to inform my design.

Here, I used different perspectives to outline the structure of the entire level.




Within this large level, I designed a total of 14 maps, including a boss battle.


After completing the design, I combined the layout with the concept art and finalized the block out.



Every puzzle mechanic in the sublevels was also designed by me. I verified the feasibility of their gameplay, implemented their functionality, and ensured they worked as intended.
